BIO
As a child in Salento (Italy), I would watch for hours as my grandmother worked at this old wooden weaving loom. In the south, this is an integral part of Women's’ culture.
I was fascinated by the loom shuttle moving back and forth from one point to another. Witnessing a beautiful combination of sound and creation. I realize now that as I sat there captivated in these fabrics emerging from the loom, I was experiencing something that would mark my future as an artist. My grandmother in that moment was weaving the act of doing and creating by nurturing the love for her family into the fabric.
As a multidisciplinary artist, I experiment with different media, painting, installation fashion and video. I weave them together to create. I strive for artwork that captures the profound beauty and vulnerability of the natural world and explores the interrelationship of humanness and environment.
